The majority of the work will not disrupt traffic on either South Fifth Street or South Duff Avenue. When lane closures on South Duff Avenue are necessary for the project, they will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays to avoid typical high-volume traffic times.
The City of Ames has contracted with Voltmer Inc. of Decorah to complete this project, which is expected to take one month.
