Utility Work On Luther Drive Begins Friday In Ames

Improvements on Luther Drive are continuing, with work to install a new water main along the east side of the road beginning Friday, June 11. Luther Drive south of 28th Street will be closed to through traffic, but open for residents.

The City of Ames has contracted with Manatts Inc., and its subcontractor, Precision Pipe and Grading, for this improvement project. Work on this stage of the project is expected to take five to seven days to complete and will be followed by the next stage of the project.

All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
