The City of Ames has contracted with Ames Trenching to complete this project, which includes water service transfers, saw cutting of pavement, trenching, minor sidewalk/driveway replacement, and surface restoration.
The project requires 12th Street between Roosevelt and Kellogg avenues to be closed to through traffic for the duration of the project. However, access is allowed for residents. All are encouraged to take note of construction activity and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. Exercise caution when traveling near the construction area. As with all paving operations, saw cutting of joints in newly poured pavement is critical and it may be disruptive beyond normal work hours. For safety reasons, please keep children and pets away from the construction zone.
