The woman's name hasn't been released, because police haven't been able to positively identify the woman who was driving alone on the highway when the accident occurred, said Ames Police CMDR. Geoff Huff.
Ames police were called to the scene about 2 p.m. Tuesday. The woman was driving a 2007 Chevy HRR west on the highway when the boxy hatchback went off the road. She overcorrected back onto the road and the vehicle rolled multiple times. The woman was ejected. Police don't know if she was wearing a seatbelt. Huff said she likely turned too hard to the left causing the vehicle to turn sideways causing the rollover. The vehicle rolled at least three times, police said.
The woman was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center.
