Perkins to Open in Ankeny This Summer
A new Perkins Restaurant & Bakery under construction will be Ankeny's first.
From a press release:
Perkins Restaurant & Bakery will open at 714 S.E. Oralabor Road by July 1, according to a press release from the company.
The restaurant will be the 22nd Perkins in Iowa.

Ankeny's Perkins is 5,400 square feet and could seat up to 176 guests.
Perkins franchisee, Jim Rahfaldt of CyHawk Hospitality, has opened six Perkins Restaurant & Bakeries in the past six years.

“Ankeny is one of the fastest growing communities in the Midwest. Businesses and residential areas are expanding, there’s a strong commitment to and investment in the school system, and there are many families in the local area. Perkins will round out the dining scene in the community and seems to be a natural fit,” Rahfaldt said in a prepared statement.
Kim Prowant, a long time Ankeny resident, has been hired to oversee the new restaurant's opening.
