Following the fast-moving snow storm earlier this week, residents will be hit with dangerously high winds and long stretches of sub-zero temperatures.

Across Iowa, a wind chill warning is in effect. Residents are advised to take caution when outdoors.

The wave of cold air will produce winds of up to 30 mph and continue throughout the week. Winds will reach 15 mph in the afternoon and continue to gain speeds of over 20 mph into the early morning, causing temperatures to plummet to -30 F for several hours, according to AccuWeather.
