Bettendorf Ends Title Hopes for Cedar Falls in Gritty Game: State Boys Basketball Tournament
The undefeated Bulldogs had all they could handle versus Cedar Falls on Friday during the Iowa high school boys basketball tournament semifinals in Des Moines.

Kalehl Brown led all scorers with 16 points in a heartbreaking loss for Cedar Falls on Friday during the Iowa state high school basketball tournament in Des Moines.
He chipped in three blocks and one steal as well. Kendall Jacks led the way for Bettendorf with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Cedar Falls controlled much of the game but ultimately couldn't hang on to defeat top ranked Bettendorf (26-0) in the semifinal round.

Bettendorf won 39-36, and will play Iowa City West for the state title at 8:05 p.m. Saturday evening. Cedar Falls meets Dubuque Senior (23-2) in the consolation round at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
"When you take the No. 1 seed to the last second, you've got to be proud of our basketball team," Cedar Falls coach Tom Bardal told the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. "I couldn't be happier to do that.
