Cedar Falls Artists Nab ARTapalooza Honors

The eighth annual ARTapalooza fine art show was held on Saturday, Sept. 7 from in downtown Cedar Falls. The show featured more than 50 artists and attracted a large number of people to the downtown area.

As in years past, artists were again judged on the overall display of their artwork and the appearance of their booth.

After careful consideration of each booth, judges awarded Janna Bowman, of Green Earth Glass in Cedar Falls, Best of Show for her striking display of recycled glass jewelry and art mosaics.

James Kerns of Sturgis Falls Clay, also in Cedar Falls, was named Runner-Up for his unique display of beautiful ceramics.

Sponsors for this year’s ARTapalooza on Main are: Regions Bank, HyVee, Mediacom, Friends of the Hearst Center for the Arts and the Cedar Falls Tourism and Visitors Bureau. ARTapalooza is hosted by Community Main Street.
