Cedar Falls Child, 2 Women Hurt in Collision With Detasseling Bus
A detasseling bus collided with a car, injuring three Cedar Falls residents south of Waterloo.

A second bus-car collision this week injured three Cedar Falls residents Friday, including a child.
The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office said a Freightliner School Bus of Durham School Services collided with a vehicle driven by Sarah Shrout, 27, of Cedar Falls.
The collision happened at about 1:20 p.m. at the corner of Kimball Avenue and West Schrock Road south of Waterloo.
Authorities said the bus driver, Dale Bondy, 69, of Waterloo, reportedly stopped at the corner but then pulled out in front a Shrout's car.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reported the bus was a detasseling bus that had just dropped off its crew.

Shrout received a broken leg in the accident. Two passengers in her vehicle were also injured. Kayla Watts, 21, of Cedar Falls, complained of chest and back injuries and Gabe Watts, 3, of Cedar Falls received cuts to his face. Bondy requested to go to the hospital for observation.
All the subjects were transported to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Deputies were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Hudson Fire and Ambulance, Covenant Ambulance and Waterloo Fire Department Ambulance.
Authorities said Bondy was charged with Failure To Yield From A Stop Sign.
