Cedar Falls W. 1st Street/HWY 57 Reconstruction Update

Beginning, Monday, March 15th, 2021, the Iowa DOT’s contractor, PCI, will be starting the last year of construction on W. 1st Street/HWY 57 between Highland Drive and Francis Street.

Construction will be focused around the Hudson Road intersection reconstruction and underground utility-related work. In order for the contractor to begin, a closure of the northern lanes will be required for traffic signal work. Traffic control will be set up prior to the start of construction. East and Westbound head-to-head traffic will be maintained throughout construction. The lane closure for this phase will be in effect for approximately three (3) weeks, depending on the weather.
