Cedar Falls Weather Alert: Flash Flood Warning

Cedar Falls is under a flash flood warning until 3 p.m. today.

National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated "slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall" moving across the area. Northeast Black Hawk County code get hit with 2 to 4 inches of rain. 

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... WATERLOO AND EVANSDALE. URBAN FLOODING IN THE WATERLOO AND CEDAR FALLS AREA IS LIKELY IN ADDITION TO THE FLASH FLOOD POTENTIAL NEAR DUNKERTON. 

Residents are advised to take precautions and turn around rather than try to cross flooded roads.
