Driving to Hansen or Holmes This School Year? Read This

There are new traffic patterns in effect at Hansen Elementary and Holmes Junior High School in Cedar Falls.

From the Cedar Falls Community School District:

Due to the construction, the traffic pattern for parents and staff traveling to Hansen Elementary and Holmes Junior High School will change.  Effective Monday, August 12, all traffic entering the Hansen/Holmes campus will be one way only. All traffic entering the Hansen/Holmes campus will enter at the corner of West Fourth Street and Holmes Drive. Traffic will travel around Holmes Junior High in a clock wise manor and exit onto 4th Street on the west side on Holmes Junior High.

Buses to Holmes Junior High will drop off students at the front entrance in the morning, but will pick up students from the Activities Entrance in the afternoon.  Parents will be allowed to park in front of Holmes Junior High to pick up students in the afternoon.

It is anticipated this new traffic pattern will be in effect for the entire 2013-14 school year.  Parking will be allowed on the both sides of Holmes Drive and around the entire driveway to the blacktop portion of the driveway on the west side of Holmes Junior High.  Parking will only be allowed on the east side of the blacktop portion of the driveway.
