Octopus on College Hill Celebrating 1 Year Anniversary With Local Music
Two days of local, live music will mark the one year anniversary since the Octopus opened on College Hill.

Hey guys! Looking for something to do tonight? Editor's pick is to see some great local music (when is that ever not a good option?)
If you're not sure where to find some, the Octopus on College Hill is celebrating its one year anniversary of opening on Friday with music performances and food. Can't go wrong there.
Here's what the Octopus wrote about the show on their Facebook wall:
"They blew our socks off at the College Hill Music Festival so we're having them back. Gloom Balloom are gonna do their thing all over us and help us celebrate our one year anniversary.GB are sensitive songwriters from Des Moines who like to whip out their hip hop alter ego once in a while. Old Scratch alumni Land of Blood and Sunshine and CV songstress Emily Mollman round out this fantastic bill. Woo hoo!
"Note: We will be serving dinner in the beer garden from 4-7 on Friday only of this weekend. Pork and other delicious stuff provided by Rustik Rooster. Amazing, fresh beer coming at you from Broad Street brewing from Reinbeck, IA. Food and beer available for purchase.

The show kicks off at 8 p.m.
Oh, and don't forget there will also be a day two of the celebrations on Saturday, featuring Har-di-Har, In Rooms, Graham Howland and Aaron McNally.
