Police: Cedar Falls Man Arrested in Connection With Burglary, Sexual Assault

Cedar Falls Police have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault reported early Friday morning.
Police said they received a 911 call at 2:33 a.m. reporting a burglary and sexual assault in the 1400 block of Madison Street.
The 911 caller reported that an unknown male had entered the residence with a weapon and sexually assaulted an adult female.

Police investigators arrested Benjamin Elliott Lane, 21, of 815 Washington St., and charged him with first-degree burglary and second-degree sexual abuse.Â
Lane is being held at the Black Hawk County Jail on a $500,000 bond. Both charges are class B felonies. A class B felony is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
