• The Waterloo Community School District is working with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and the Variety - The Children’s Charity of Eastern Iowa Bikes for Kids Program to give 200 students ages 5-12 new bikes, helmets and locks. This year’s bike distribution event is scheduled for Saturday, June 7 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
• Volunteers are needed to help load and unload moving trucks to move the Family and Children’s Council from the KWWL building and into our new offices in the Kimball Ridge Center on June 7 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
• Children’s Cancer Connection is inviting volunteers to be a part of Camp Heart Connection summer camp program for children affected by cancer from June 7 – 14. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
• My Waterloo Days needs volunteers. Various opportunities are available from Thursday, June 12 through Sunday, June 15 including beer ticket sales, beer tent, recycling stations, and gate attendants. Various shifts are available. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
