VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities ~

• The Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments (INRCOG) will be conducting a trail count in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area June 15 thru June 21, from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Various shifts are available. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• Sturgis Falls Half Marathon Volunteers will be on the half marathon running route cheering on and pointing runners in the right direction. The race is June 29 from 7:00 until 11:00 a.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are needed.

• Volunteers will work with trained Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity site supervisors building homes with families in need. No construction experience is necessary. Volunteers age 18 and over are needed on June 21 and 28 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

• LifeServe Blood Center needs volunteers to drive blood and blood products in LifeServe vehicles to hospitals in the Cedar Valley and surrounding communities within the LifeServe service area. Shifts are regular and are needed weekdays in the morning and evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings and are typically between 1-5 hours. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
