The 24-year-old had his infant child in the back seat when he overdosed on drugs, a criminal complaint says.

DES MOINES, IA — A Des Moines man is barred from being near his infant child after reportedly overdosing in his car last month while the baby was in the back seat. Zachary Daniel Rhodes, 24, was arrested Monday in connection with the Dec. 3 incident.
Rhodes faces a charge of child neglect or abandonment of a dependent person and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, The Des Moines Register reported. In addition, a no-contact order is in place.
Emergency responders found Rhodes in his Jeep Grand Cherokee in a parking lot in the 1100 block of 24th Street, the Register reported. Medical treatment was provided at that time.
