The American Lung Association Offers Businesses Tobacco Cessation Solutions for Free.

The American Lung Association in Iowa wants you to know about an ongoing program to assist area organizations and businesses with FREE tobacco cessation resources for their employees and help create a tobacco free environment for their locations.
“Research shows that an employee who uses tobacco and an employer can BOTH save up to $10,000 annually if the person quits,” said Beth Turner, Health Promotions Manager “Tobacco-free workplace policies have been proven to help increase the number of times people attempt to quit using tobacco, help people use tobacco less and help more people quit successfully.”
Through this ongoing program, the Lung Association provides free materials and incentives, presentations, special events, technical assistance, signage, education and communication campaigning, and the business you work for could be listed on the Iowa Tobacco-Free Business Registry.

Tobacco-free locations not only help businesses save money, but also contribute to creating a healthy and safe working environment, reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, boost morale and boost productivity among workers.
This program is provided by the American Lung Association thanks to a partnership grant from the Iowa Department of Public Health, Division of Tobacco Use Prevention and Control to provide tobacco education and cessation resources to organizations in Iowa.
