Suite 500, is having a beer tasting today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free but an RSVP is required at (515) 334-WINE or agraham@winestyles.net. Teresa Albert from Millstream Brewing Company in Amana - Iowa's oldest microbrewery - will be sharing beers and stories.

Something to eat: Johnston Farmers Market, 3:30-6:30 p.m., in the City Hall parking lot. 

For fisherman: Johnston Bait and Tackle posted that the reported outflow at Saylorville Dam is 805 cfs. The lake level is 837.37 feet. 

From the pews: Johnston Evangelical Free Church is asked people to pray for Jake and Sarah Tincher because Jake is trying to get home from a business trip and the doctors want to do a C-section soon.

An ICYMI from the pews: Over at Messiah Lutheran Church, the community wished Pastor Stogdill a Happy Birthday on Monday. I bet he'd still accept your well wishes.
