Metro Waste Authority and Ankeny Sanitation do not observe Monday, July 5 as a holiday. Therefore, there are no collection delays this week.

Monday collection (residents west of Nw 86th StreetAnkeny Sanitation will be picking up missed collections on Tuesday, July 6, due to a communication error. They will only be picking up trash. Yard waste will need to be held until next week.

Tuesday collection (residents east of NW 86th Street)If your trash, recycling and yard waste is on Tuesdays, please ensure your carts are out by 6 a.m. on Tuesday.Metro Waste Authority only has delays if the holiday falls during the weekday, Monday through Friday. The holiday collection days can be found by visiting the Metro Waste Authority website. 

We would ask that you reach out to your neighbors if you do not see their cart on the curb this evening or tomorrow morning by 6 a.m. Thank you in advance.
