The special election, which will determine who fills the vacant seat, is Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The appointment will become effective after the Polk County Election Office has certified the election and the oath is taken by the newly elected person following the special election on June 22.

The polling places will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
