Des Moines Man Arrested for Assault by Sandwich
Sandwiches don't hurt people. People hurt people. Specifically, a man in Polk County.

A Des Moines man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting his pregnant wife with a McChicken sandwich from McDonald’s.
According to Polk County records and The Des Moines Register, Marvin Tramaine Hill, 21, was booked into the Polk County Jail without bond late Tuesday afternoon.
Hill himself called the police, claiming he was the victim of an assault at the hands of his wife at their home on 13th Street.

When they arrived, police said, Hill’s wife had mayonnaise on her shirt and face. Hill showed the officers a video he had taken on his cell phone in which his wife knocked the phone out of his hand, the Register reported.
He admitted, however, that he threw the sandwich at her after she offered it to him, stating he “doesn’t like them.”

Judging by the woman’s swollen nose, police determined that the video was likely an effort to instigate his wife to record a hostile reaction. Hill allegedly went on to smash the bun into his wife’s face.
Hill’s weapons permit was confiscated as he faces a domestic assault charge. He remains in the Polk County Jail.
