How Did Johnston High School Students Do at State Academic Decathlon?

Students traveled to Mount Vernon earlier this month for the competition.

Johnston High School was well represented at the State Academic Decathlon competition earlier this month.

The students traveled to State Academic Decathlon competition in Mount Vernon on March 1 and 2. 

After speeches, interviews, essays, and exams on Math, Economics, Russian History, the Space Race, Russian Art, Russian Literature and Russian Music, JHS walked away with a strong 5th place showing.

In addition, six individual medals were awarded to Johnston students. The team members and their awards are listed below:
