Jethro's BBQ Breaks Ground on Huge New Johnston Location

The delicious BBQ joint Jethro's BBQ held a ground breaking for a new Johnston location on Monday evening.

Construction will get underway for the 6,500 square foot digs for Jethro's BBQ n' Porkchop Grill. The restaurant will be located at 5950 86th Street and have a staff of 120 people, according to its Facebook page. 

Johnston community leaders, economic development officials, Iowa pork producers along with Jethro's BBQ owner Bruce Gerleman were expected to be on hand for the event. 

This will be Jethro's fifth location. It will have a unique menu and name, according to an announcement for the event.
