Holding onto a 4-2 lead going into the top of the seventh inning, the Dragons added three crucial runs to push the lead to 7-2. Haylee Towers then worked out of a jam in the bottom of the seventh by preventing Ottumwa from scoring in the inning.

Towers finished the game by allowing 2 runs, 10 hits, while striking out four. Offensively, the Dragons were led by third baseman Ellen Espeland, who finished 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI’s.
