Johnston Teen's Sexual Assault Plea Delayed By Paperwork

A judge warned another delay will lead to trial in the case for defendant Noah Lamar, WHO-TV reported.

DES MOINES, IA — Incomplete paperwork delayed a court hearing Tuesday for one of four teens accused of sexually assaulting a Johnston High School student in September. A plea agreement had been expected in Polk County court, but instead, the paperwork delay means Noah Lamar, 15, will be back in court on Friday.

A judge cautioned, however, that a further delay will result in trial in Lamar's case, WHO-TV reported Tuesday.

Lamar and three others were arrested in late September, nearly three weeks after police began investigating the Sept. 8 sexual assault on another 15-year-old male Johnston student. The victim was reportedly sodomized at the home of one of the defendants.

The other three teens charged in the case face a Jan. 22 trial. They are Kaden Dishman, 15, whose charges mirror Lamar's, and Ritter Stahlbaum, 17, and Morgan Hough, 18, each charged with second-degree sexual abuse, first-degree robbery and felony assault.
