Laundry Room Set On Fire at Construction Site: Johnston Police Blotter

Aug. 27:

A man reported someone had stolen the clips for the swings on his swing set on Wickham Drive.

Aug. 28:

Kellan Glenn Gannon, 21, of Ankeny, arrested and charged with harboring a 17-year-old runaway and with trespassing on Johnston school property.

Wong's Chopsticks, 5500 Merle Hay Road, reported a customer wrote a check for food on an account with insufficient funds.

Aug. 29:

Shock City Verizon Wireless, 5421 NW 86th St., reported damage to their company sign.

Man reported two kayaks were taken from outside a residence on Kirkland Court.

Aug. 30:

Officers were dispatched to suspicious activity at a construction site on Essex Drive. Officers arrived and found an area in the laundry room that had been set on fire.
