Police Blotter Rewind: Vehicle Damage, BB Gun Shooting

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls Dec. 24 to Jan. 1. Take a look at the reports.

All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

Dec. 24
Officers responded to a call regarding civil dispute over child custody.

Dec. 25
Officers were dispatched in reference to domestic dispute between a male and female that involved custody of their children.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic dispute between a man and woman.

A woman reported her car stolen when it was left unlocked and running in her driveway. A short time later the vehicle was found, items had been stolen and damage done to the vehicle.

Dec. 26
The parents of an 11-year-old at a residential care home reported the child was assaulted by a caregiver.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a child custody dispute, the man was refusing to leave the residence.

Dec. 27
A 58-year-old man reported an unauthorized charge on his credit card.

Dec. 28
Wille Carpentry reported someone had broken into their construction trailer and a construction site and stolen tools and equipment.

Dec. 30
An 18-year-old man reported someone smashed the windshield, flattened two tires and broken off an outside mirror on his vehicle while it was parked on the roadway at a residence.

A storage facility reported the break in of a travel trailer that is being stored on the property. During the investigation, two other units were found broken into.

A resident in the area of Northwest 100th Street reported hearing several rapid shots like automatic gunfire.

Officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Northwest 100th Street in reference to a male juvenile who had caused damage to two vehicles with a BB gun. Juvenile was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

A 52-year-old man reported his ex-wife made fraudulent charges on his credit card.

Officers were dispatched in regards to a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Male subject wanted the female trespassed from his residence.

Dec. 31
A female subject reported she was assaulted by her boyfriend and boyfriend's father while being driven home. No charges were filed.

Jan. 1
A female subject reported being threatened by her boyfriend. No charges were filed.
