Thanks, Johnston Patch, and Goodbye

Almost two years ago, Patch started an experiment in local, online news coverage in Johnston.

Today a chapter of that experiment is coming to a close. For the time being, there will no longer be local editors for the Iowa Patch sites, including Johnston.

However, the site will still be around for you to read archived stories and for the community to use to upload and read each other's events, announcements and blog posts.

I've only been editing the Johnston site for two months, but I know I speak for former editors Deb Belt and Ashlee Kieler when I say it has been an honor telling Johnston's stories. This is a wonderful community that I have loved getting to know.
