Theft From JMS: Johnston Police Blotter

The Johnston Police Department investigated a number of calls March 7 and March 8. Take a look at the reports.

Editor's note: All information is provided by the Johnston Police Department in incident reports through March 8. Dates below are when the incident was reported or occurred, not when an arrest or charges were filed. Charges do not always result in convictions. All individuals listed below are innocent until proven guilty.

March 7
A 27-year-old man reported being scammed by someone claiming to be from Homeland Security requiring money.

March 8
A 13-year-old boy reported a theft from his locker at Johnston Middle School. A male subject was identified and returned the item. Parents of the victim did not want to press charges.

Taner Burns, 18, and Augustin Beebe, 18, were charged with possession with intent, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug tax stamp violation.
