Trostel's Greenbriar Wins Wine Award from Wine Spectator Magazine

In the middle of Johnston, fine food and award-winning wine can be found at Trostel's Greenbriar.

Fine dining is always great paired with fine wine. For the 12th consecutive year, Trostel’s Greenbriar Restaurant and Bar has won the Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence.

The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants which have a wine list with interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a variety of wine lovers.

Suzanne Summy, owner of Trostel’s Greenbriar, said her favorite wines are the Cakebred Chardonnay and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon.

“We have the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the 12th year in a row,” Summy said. “Only a few places in Iowa have that.”

Summy said on Wednesday nights all of the wines, except the reserve wines, are half off.
