Was It Hot Enough To Make You Turn on the A/C?
Johnston felt the heat on Tuesday, but enjoy it while it last. Severe weather is expected tonight, and snow and sleet is in the forecast for later this week.

I try to withstand the temptation until as late in June as tolerable. Then again, I tend to make things as difficult as possible.

It was 84 degrees in Johnston late Tuesday afternoon. That's downright blistering heat compared to recent weeks.
But enjoy it while it lasts. There's a hazardous weather advisory that went in effect as of 3:30 p.m. due to likely thunderstorms and showers.

Rain is expected tonight from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., and then most of the day and night on Wednesday.
By the end of the week, on Thursday and Friday, we could be looking at snow and sleet, and to wrap up the week - more rain late Friday and Saturday. Temperatures could dip 43 degrees during the day on Thursday and Friday and in the 30s in the overnights.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG A COLD FRONT LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING. A FEW SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH HALF DOLLAR SIZED HAIL AND 60 MPH WINDS POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION...CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TRAINING STORMS WHICH MAY LEAD TO A NARROW BAND OF HEAVY RAINFALL.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY RAIN WILL REMAIN IN THE FORECAST WEDNESDAY FRIDAY NIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES MAY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT WITHIN BANK RISES ALONG MANY RIVERS WITH MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING IN SOME LOCATIONS.
