Tonight, Iowa State will travel to Norman, Oklahoma for their third straight, “Big Monday” game televised nationally on ESPN. In terms of experience in the big atmosphere, the Cyclones should win this one – disclaimer: It’s on the road.

Iowa State has been nothing more than just average on the road this season struggling away from Hilton. Last week it showed as ISU came out flat against Kansas. Iowa State looked flat, but not discouraged in the hostile environment.

The key to a victory tonight is for the Cyclones to stop Buddy Hield from his 17.6 points per game. Hield, as a junior, has been magnificient this season and could lead Oklahoma to a much needed big win.

Ryan Spangler has always been trouble for Iowa State and played a big role in ending their perfect season last year.

One Last Question remains: Who Starts?

Fred Hoiberg has not yet reached (or announced at least) a decision on whether Jameel McKay or Bryce DeJean-Jones will be starting on Big Monday.

After being late to Saturday’s game, DeJean-Jones was benched for Jameel McKay, and the results showed. McKay was on a rampage and had one of his best games this season scoring 17 points along with eight defensive rebounds. However, BDJ had one of his worsts.

There is no time table on when Hoiberg will announce his starting five, but regardless make sure to tune in to the game tonight on ESPN, it is sure to be a fun one.
