3 Boxes of Prescription Drugs Turned in For DEA, Marion Police Program

Local law enforcement's drug turn in program brought 3 boxes of unwanted prescription drugs to a safe spot in Marion.

Three boxes of "dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs" were handed over to local law enforcment for a drug turn in program.

It was part of an one day, joint program with the DEA, Marion Police and other local law encement, that encouraged residents to turn in unwanted prescription drugs to various locations across Linn County, according to a release from the Mairon Police Department.

The program will be held again in April 2013.

If you didn't particpate but would like to safetly discard some prescrption drugs, be sure to take them to the Marion Police station's recently installed drop-off box.
