The Linn County Supervisors failed to make jumping off of bridges illegal, but the popular past time has injured another teen.
Picture this: You're in high school. Your mother doesn't approve of your friends because you start mimicking their rebellious behavior and she asks you: "If they jumped off a bridge would you do it?"
You would say, 'no, of course not.' But, for some reason, Linn County residents have made a habit of jumping off bridges. So much so that there was an unsuccessful attempt by the Linn County Board of Supervisors to make it illegal.
Another incident occurred on Tuesday, when an unnamed teenager broke his leg after lofting over a bridge and into the Wapsipinicon River, in Independence, according to KCRG.
