Arkansas Man Dies After SUV Crashes Into Power Line Pole Near Marion
Troy Don Cowan, 25 of Van Buren, AR, has died from injuries after a sports utility vehicle crashed into a power line pole on Friday.

An Arkansas man has died from injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle car crash on the northeast outskirts of Marion on Friday.Â
Troy Don Cowan, 25 of Van Buren, AR, died today at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Linn County Sheriff's said in a news release. Cowan becomes the third person to die from a deadly weekend of vehicle accidents.Â
Cowan was one of five people in the sports utility vehicle that crashed into a power line pole. The other four were taken to the hospital but are expected to survive.Â
Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardner said speed was involved in the crash, but tests are not yet complete to know how fast they were going or if drugs or alcohol were involved.
The case remains under investigation.Â
The crash occurred on Friday, August 2, at 9:18 p.m. on Hindman Road, about three-quarters of a mile south of County Home Road.

Driver Austin Keilholtz, 24, of Cape Coral, FL, was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Corey Merritt, 24 of Cape Coral, FL, was transported to University of Iowa Hospital by Area Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  Harden Kemper, 22 of Damascus, AR, and Ashley Block, 22, of Marion, were both transported to St. Luke's Hospital by Area Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
