When the Iowa State basketball team struts into Morgantown, only one thing will be on their minds – that’s what happened here last year. The Cyclones visited the Mountaineers last season, ranked 11th in the nation, trying to grab a good win and join the ranks of the top ten, but were demolished by 25.

The Cyclones have spent 27 straight weeks in the Top 25, setting a new school record in the process. Iowa State is also trying to start 2-0 in conference play for the second straight year when they battle already 2-0 West Virginia today.

West Virginia’s Juwan Staten played one season at Dayton (2010-11). Iowa State assistant coach, Cornell Mann, was an assistant at Dayton during that season.

The West Virginia student newspaper published their Thursday Issue calling Georges Niang the, “Bum of the Game,” and letting fans know to boo him every time he has the ball. As one could see, there are some very classy people in Morgantown. Georges Niang commented on the column saying, “That’s cute.”
