The Cyclones have hit a minor bump in the long and winding road of this Big 12 season, going 4-3 in their last seven games including a loss to the Big 12’s last place team, Texas Tech. However, in the process, they have taken down #14 West Virginia and #9 Kansas.
The loss knocked Iowa State off of the top of the Big 12 Standings.
Texas is the fifth ranked opponent the Cyclones will play this season, as they have won three out of the first four.
The Longhorns will come into Ames trying to break a 17 game home winning streak owned by Hilton Coliseum and the Cyclones. Not to mention, ISU has won ten straight games against Big 12 teams at home.
The Cyclones enter the week leading the nation in assists per game with 17.9, and also housing the NCAA’s best Assist-to-Turnover ratio with who else than Monte Morris. (5.1)
This is the first game for the Cyclones to be featured on ESPN’s Big Monday Program of the season, they’ll have two more in the next two weeks.
