'Healthiest State Walk' in Marion Wednesday

Stop by Marion's Thomas Park at noon for a 1-kilometer stroll with Marion residents.

This year's Healthiest State Walk in Marion will take place Wednesday at Thomas Park.

All interested walkers can sign up at the Healthiest State Website and show up around noon. Marion Chamber of Commerce President Jill Ackerman said walkers should feel free to wear their school colors for homecoming week.

If you're working Wednesday afternoon, there's still a good chance you can make it. The walk is only 1-kilometer long, so it could fit well within a lunch break.
