Iowa Humane Alliance "Hot Soup - Cold Noses Benefit Supper" in Marion will dish up the love for animals on February 6th.

Locally based animal welfare organization Iowa Humane Alliance invites area residents to warm up their winter by joining them for the fourth annual “Hot Soup-Cold Noses Benefit Supper” at the Marion American Legion, Friday, February 6th from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Admission for the all-you-can-eat affair is $8.00 for adults, with kids under five eating for free. The menu of home-style offerings includes chicken noodle soup (with home-made noodles), California veggie cheese soup, beef-and-bean chili, vegan chili, cornbread, dinner rolls, a selection of beverages, as well as an assortment of cupcakes and ice cream for dessert.
Proceeds from the evening will help fund programs through Iowa Humane Alliance and the IHA Regional Spay/Neuter Clinic, now in its third year of operation. IHA’s on-going mission is to reduce companion animal overpopulation and animal suffering in Iowa by providing programs such as low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter procedures. After opening in 2013, the IHA Regional Spay/Neuter Clinic has spayed or neutered over 11,000 animals.
IHA will also have a selection of animal-themed gift items available for sale during the event, including t-shirts and magnets, as well as their kid-pleasing, prize-every-time “Wheel of Fur-tune.”
