Marion has thousands of students and over a dozen public schools with hundreds of scheduled school activities.
Needless to say, it’s hard to keep track of what’s happening.
That’s why it’s vital to have direct access to the most important information: school emergencies.

Luckily, both the and school districts have emergency notification systems.
Marion Independent School District students and parents can follow the link to an email based emergency notification process. Click "subscribe" at the bottom of the page and type "Subscribe notification" (make sure it’s in bold) in the subject line of the email client.

The Linn-Mar School District does not have an email based notification system, but does post information about closings and emergencies in the red banner on its home page and on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
