Inmate Convicted of Crimes in Linn and Johnson Counties Escapes
Bernard Butler II, an inmate convicted of crimes in Linn and Johnson County, didn't return to a residential work release facility in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday.

Inmate Bernard Butler II was supposed to return to the Department of Correction's Lary A. Nelson Residential Center in Cedar Rapids after a release for a job search on Tuesday.
He allegedly didn't return. By 2:30 p.m. authorities listed Butler as escaped, according to the Press-Citizen.
The 21-year-old was convicted of crimes in Johnson and Linn Counties, including an intimidation with a dangerous weapon charge in Johnson County and second degree burglary in Linn County. He received a 10-year sentence.

Police describe him as a black male, who is 5-foot-10 and 186 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. North Iowa Today also pointed out that he has a tattoo of a bulldog with cross bones on his right shoulder.
