Iowa High School Weight Room to Bear Name of This NFL Star

Anamosa High School is naming its weight room in honor of Marshal Yanda of the Baltimore Ravens.

Anamosa High School is holding a naming ceremony on Sunday to honor one of the school's most famous alumni.

The ceremony is for the 'Anamosa High School Marshal Yanda Weight Room.' Yanda was a standout for the Anamosa Blue Raiders and later a star lineman for the University of Iowa. 

These days Yanda plays for the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens and is one of the best guards in the NFL. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice. 

The naming ceremony is on Sunday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at the high school gym. 

Yanda and Iowa Hawkeye Coach Kirk Ferentz will be on hand for the event.
