Letter to the Editor: Grandparent for Liz Mathis

To the Editor,

I am supporting our senator, Liz Mathis, for re-election to Senate District 34.

As a grandparent, I believe that Liz Mathis is the best candidate for this seat because of her background in the area of child welfare. I believe that senator Mathis’ interest and actions taken by supporting the well-being of our toddlers, ensuring we provide quality day care and academics as they progress, encouraging support for healthy forms of expression, and by providing access to quality education and job training, senator Mathis’ goals to ensure future economic growth within our communities will be a success.

We need someone in our state senate with that kind of commitment to children and community.

Senator Mathis has already shown that she can be a positive influence in the legislature and will continue to reflect the concerns and needs of Linn County as well as the great state of Iowa.
