Linn-Mar Hits 7,117 Students, But Growth is Slowing
A Linn-Mar official said the district is still seeing plenty new students, but not the huge growth they've seen in the past.

A Linn-Mar official said the Linn-Mar School District is finally moving towards "manageable growth" in its student population.
Dirk Halupnick, the director of instructional services, said the district has been growing for decades, but really took off in the last eight years when their schools would typically see a 400 to 800 increase in students each year.Â
He assured me this is a lot.

This year, there are approximately 200 new students, making a total of 7,117 students throughout the Linn-Mar school district.
This continues a refreshing pattern that Halupnick said he's seen over the past few years: slower, manageable growth.
