Linn-Mar District Remembers Echo Hill Staff Member for 'Courage and Strength'
Chris Kircher passed away after a battle with cancer on Friday.

A woman, who many in the community will recognize as a staff member at Echo Hill Elementary school, passed away on Friday after a battle with cancer.
Chris Kircher had been batting pancreatic cancer for two and half years, the Linn-Mar website has posted in a tribute. She passed away peacefully at home with "her family, dogs, cats, and horses."
Kircher began her career in bank management and later stayed home to raise children. It was more than 20 years after graduating college, the Kircher started working in schools, according to her profile on the school's website.

She worked at Westfield, Oak Ridge and most recently as the school administrative manager at Echo Hill.
"Chris always made time to listen to others, and would do it with a smile," the Linn-Mar website states. "She has impacted many lives and has encouraged people to become the best they can be."

"During this incredibly difficult fight with cancer, Chris displayed an enormous amount of courage and strength," it stated. "Although, she knew it would be an uphill battle, her positive attitude was admired by many."
