Police: Lombard Man Faces Third OWI After Stopping in Middle of Highway with Open Container

Raymond Carl Kruse was faces four charges including his third for drunken driving after a traffic stop last month.

allege that the 48-year-old Lombard resident was charged June 16 at 2:43 a.m. with the OWI, in addition to a bunch of charges.

He was given the following charges: driving with a revoked license, stopping on the travelled part of highway, an open container violation on the driver’s side and not providing proof of insurance, which took place at the 400 block of Seventh Avenue.

Marion Police also made seven additional alcohol related from June 15 to 26:   

Deania Maria Schuler, 21, 2395 24th Street, Marion, was charged June 18 with public intoxication, interference with official acts, at 2200 31rst Street.

Stratton Forbes Maxwell West, 19, 4505 Lyons Drive, Marion, was charged with public consumption, at possession of alcohol under age, at the 2300 block Pleasentview Drive.

Kristine Ann Pflughaupt, 48, 234 Normandy Drive, was charged with public consumption, intoxication, at the 1200 block of 44th Street.

Christopher Alan Merritt, 21, 234 Normandy Drive, Marion, was charged with possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, an OWI, first offense, and failure to yield on left hand turn.

Yaylor Jordan Fiester, 21, Cedar Rapids, was charged June 16 with an OWI, first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, at the corner of 25th avenue and Indian Creek Road.

Wayne William Selkin, 40, Cedar Rapids, was charged June 16 with an OWI, second offense, and failure to yield on a left turn, at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Marion Boulevard.

Troy Larry Wheeler, 22, 520 12th Street, Marion, was charged June 24 with assault without intent to injure, fifth degree criminal mischief and public consumption, inxociation, at the 500 block of 11th Street.
