Police: Man Stole from Unlocked Cars in Marion Before Stealing SUV

Jesse R. Flitsch is in trouble with police again because he allegedly stole items from parked cars before he stole an SUV and tried to elude the police in a chase.

Jesse R. Flitsch now faces five new charges after he allegedly stole a SUV in Marion, which prompted a police pursuit.

Police have now said that he committed several more crimes that day, before the chase occurred.

He allegedly stole clothing, two tablet computers, a laptop computer and tools from unlocked cars outside the bar, according to the Gazette.

He's been charged with four counts of third-degree burglary and second-degree theft, according to police documents.

Flitsch is currently in Linn County jail. His bond is set for $29,500.
