Marion Police Sergeant Cited at Coralville Reservoir for Interference with Official Acts
Marion Police Sgt. Phillip Fort has pleaded not guilty to interference with official acts and operation of a boat in violation of buoys.

Phillip Fort, a Marion Police Sgt., will stand trial Oct. 30 after an incident at the Coralville reservoir.
Fort was allegedly stopped by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources while boating at the reservoir for making waves inside no-wake boundaries. Instead of complying with officials who repeatedly requested he stay still, Fort drove the boat back to his dock.
He was charged with interference with official acts and operation in violation of buoys, according to the Gazette.
