Marion To Get Visit from Blue Zone Selection Committee

A Blue Zone Project site selection committee will be visiting Marion on Nov. 14.

The group will be getting a feel for what the community is all about and the city's readiness to become a Blue Zone.

If none of that made any sense to you, Blue Zone project gives resources, including access to expertise and grants, in order for cities to become healthier. 

Marion is a finalist in the running to be nominated by the Blue Zone committee.

Rachel Krug, the Marion Chamber of Commerce director of member service, invited the community to show up to the visit, at 7:30 a.m., outside the ESCO Group.

Oh, and since these folks will be deciding whether we become a Blue Zone community, wear that nice shirt you have.
